At present, the basic types of pump impellers are flow path type (single flow path, double flow path), vane type (closed type, open type), spiral centrifugal type, and swirl type. The performance structure of various impellers is described in detail below. Centrifugal pump impellers are generally closed impellers.
The flow path impeller is a curved flow path from the inlet to the outlet. This type of impeller is suitable for conveying liquids containing large particle impurities or long fibers. Because this type of impeller has excellent anti-blocking properties. But his drawback is that the anti-cavitation performance is weaker than other forms.
The semi-open and open impellers in the vane impeller are easy to cast and easy to maintain and clean up the clogging impurities during transportation. However, his drawback is that the gap between the inner wall of the pressurized water and the blade is increased under the solid particle abrasion during transportation, which reduces the operating efficiency of the pump, and the stability of the fluid state of the liquid in the flow channel is damaged due to the increase of the gap. To make the pump vibrate, this type of impeller is not easy to transport media containing large particles and long fibers. The closed impeller has high operating efficiency and long-term smooth operation. The axial thrust of the pump is small, but the closed impeller is easy to be entangled, and it is difficult to transport sewage medium containing large particles or containing long fibers.
The spiral centrifugal impeller is a twisted blade that extends axially from the suction port on the tapered hub body. The liquid conveyed through the blade does not hit any part of the pump, so there is no damage to the pump, and it is not destructive to the liquid to be delivered. Due to the propulsion of the spiral, the suspended particles have strong passage, so this type is adopted. The pump of the impeller is suitable for pumping media containing large particles and long fibers.
The swirling impeller is that all or part of the impeller is retracted to the flow passage of the pressurized water chamber, and has good anti-blocking performance. The flow of particles in the water pressure chamber is driven by the vortex generated by the rotation of the impeller. The movement of the suspended particles itself does not generate energy, and the energy in the flow channel and the liquid exchange. In the flow process, the suspended particles or long fibers are not in contact with the worn blades, and the blades are less worn, and there is no case where the gap is increased due to abrasion, and it is suitable for pumping a medium containing large particles and long fibers.
