   As a major clean energy resource province in my country and a national high-quality clean energy base, Sichuan Province is currently actively promoting the construction of a national clean energy demonstration province. In the first half of the year, the province's clean energy showed a trend of "both supply and marketing prosperity".

    From the perspective of supply, a batch of medium-sized hydropower stations such as the Dadu River Shaping II Hydropower Station and Shuoqu River Goxue Hydropower Station have been put into operation, and the hydropower installed capacity in Sichuan has exceeded 70 million kilowatts. Hydropower-based clean energy accounts for more than 80% , Ranking first in the country. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Sichuan Province will adhere to the hydropower-based energy development policy, focusing on the Jinsha River, Yalong River, and Dadu River Basin, giving priority to the construction of leading reservoir power stations, orderly promoting the construction of medium-sized hydropower, and strictly controlling small hydropower Development, scientifically and orderly promote the development of hydropower in the province. Focus on the construction of a large number of large-scale hydropower projects, such as Wudongde, Baihetan, Suwalong, Daduhe Shuangjiangkou, Hard Liangbao, Yalong River, Yangfanggou, and other large-scale hydropower projects, and accelerate the construction of the "Three Rivers" (Jinsha Jiang, Yalong River, Dadu River) hydropower base. By 2020, Sichuan's hydropower installed capacity will reach 83 million kilowatts, making it the country's largest hydropower base. In the first half of the year, Sichuan's natural gas supply increased significantly. PetroChina Southwest Oil & Gas Company supplied 12.84 billion cubic meters of natural gas to the market, a year-on-year increase of 18.4%, which is equivalent to replacing 24 million tons of standard coal and reducing emissions by more than 18 million tons.

     From the perspective of sales, data from State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company shows that from January to June this year, Sichuan’s full-caliber outbound power delivery was 43.12 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 1.07%. Sichuan hydropower is mainly delivered to Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Chongqing and other provinces and cities, and the scale of delivery accounts for about 40% of the province's hydropower generation. At the end of June, Sichuan’s first hydroelectric power transmission channel, the third channel of Sichuan-Chongqing Power Grid, was completed and put into operation during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. As of 02:00 on August 2, a total of 1.41 billion kWh of electricity has been delivered to Chongqing, with an average daily power supply of about 40 million kWh, effectively alleviating the pressure on the power supply of the Chongqing Power Grid this summer and eliminating the “stuck neck” situation of the Sichuan-Chongqing Power Grid’s power exchange. .

    In addition to water and electricity supply, local consumption is also increasing. In the first half of the year, Sichuan Province completed the replacement of 2.647 billion kWh of electricity, which was higher than the same period last year. Substitute electricity is mainly concentrated in 6 fields including coal-fired power plants, metallurgical electric furnaces, auxiliary electric power, rail transportation, building materials electric kilns, and oil and gas pipeline power pressurization. In the first half of the year, the substitution of coal-fired power plants has achieved remarkable results. It has completed the replacement of 1.508 billion kWh of electricity and is expected to consume 3 billion kWh of electricity throughout the year.

     Sichuan Province is also actively promoting the construction of natural gas (shale gas) production bases. By 2020, it will build an important national natural gas production base with the basic pattern of northeastern Sichuan, central Sichuan, and western Sichuan. At present, Sichuan Province has launched the research and planning work on the complementary development of wind, sunlight and water in the Yalong River Basin and the lower reaches of the Jinsha River, and strives to become a multi-energy complementary demonstration project in the 13th Five-Year Plan period.

     The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Energy Bureau said that Sichuan attaches great importance to adjusting and optimizing the energy structure, and has taken the lead in realizing a clean energy-based energy consumption structure in the country, becoming a major province of clean energy consumption.
