Over the past few years, the total amount of wastewater discharge in my country has been on the rise, and the demand for wastewater treatment has been increasing. Based on the deep concern about the water environment, strengthening water pollution prevention and urban sewage treatment is listed as the key content of environmental management during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. The upgrading of existing sewage treatment plants and the new requirements of sewage treatment plants will push the valve industry into a golden period of development.
According to the data of Foreground and Investment Strategic Planning Analysis Report of Sewage Treatment Industry released by the Foresight Industry Research Institute, my country;s industrial wastewater discharge has decreased year by year, and urban domestic sewage discharge has increased year by year. In 2015, the total amount of wastewater discharged nationwide was 73.53 billion tons, of which industrial wastewater discharge was 19.95 billion tons, and urban domestic sewage discharge was 53.52 billion tons. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, at the end of 2015, there were 1,943 urban sewage treatment plants in my country, with a treatment capacity of 141 million cubic meters per day, and an urban sewage treatment rate of 91.9%.
My country;s urban sewage discharge is characterized by a large amount, and it is increasing year by year with the development of urbanization, and at the same time accounts for the largest proportion of the country;s total wastewater discharge. In 2015, my country;s urban domestic sewage discharge was 54.5 billion tons, an increase of 6% year-on-year, accounting for 71.4% of the total annual sewage discharge. With reference to the average growth rate of 6% from 2011 to 2015, we expect that the urban domestic sewage discharge will maintain a growth rate of 6% from 2016 to 2020. As my country;s economy continues to progress and the urbanization process continues to advance, urban domestic sewage has become the main source of increasing wastewater discharge in my country.
