China will promote the development of desalination industry from four aspects. By country, Saudi Arabia is the larger market, followed by the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Jebel Ali m-station is a large power generation and desalination plant in the UAE and the fourth largest desalination plant in the world, with a desalination capacity of 636440 cubic meters per day. Jebel Ali power generation and desalination complex is located in the outskirts of Dubai, while m-station is located in the complex, accompanied by several other large desalination plants, with a comprehensive capacity of about 1.72 million cubic meters per day.
All desalination plants adopt MSF technology and are operated and managed by dewa. Dwha needs to provide drinking water for Dubai, an expanding city and more than three million residents. At the beginning of this year, another new desalination project was started in Jebel Ali power generation and desalination complex.
